An association established to contribute to the development of arbitration in Türkiye, to raise the ethical, scholarly and professional standards of arbitrators, and to foster solidarity among them.

Purpose of the association

All activities

Advancing arbitration

Cooperation with the Department of Arbitration of the Ministry of Justice, the Insurance Arbitration Commission, ISTAC and other arbitral institutions to broaden the use of arbitration and strengthen confidence in it.

Professional and ethical standards

Developing training standards for arbitrators, running certification and mentoring programmes, and drafting guidance on ethical principles.

Türkiye as a seat of arbitration

Work directed at having Türkiye chosen as the seat and Turkish law as the applicable law in disputes with a foreign element.

Solidarity and representation

Fostering mutual assistance among arbitrators and protecting their rights and interests.

Scholarship and publishing

Supporting scholarly research in arbitration, compiling statistics and carrying out publishing activity.

International cooperation

Cooperation with ICC, ISTAC, VIAC, LCIA, ICCA and CIArb, among other institutions and professional bodies in the field.

Individual arbitrators who are listed on the panel of an institutional arbitration centre, or who have served as arbitrator in at least one arbitration, may apply for full membership.
